CONTACT US

Whether you have a quick question about what we accept, want to book a collection, or need to arrange a bulk or site visit, the quickest way to reach us is by phone during our opening hours. For anything that can wait, email or our online form both work well. Below is our contact information, followed by a genuine breakdown of what happens after you get in touch, so there are no surprises either way.

What happens after you contact us

For a phone call, we will ask what type of cable you have, roughly how much, and where you are, and in most cases can give you an estimate and a next step on the same call. For the online quote form or email, we review what you have sent and reply with an estimate and, where relevant, a proposed collection date, usually within the same working day for the form and within one working day for email. For a straightforward small drop off, there is no need to contact us first at all, simply bring the cable to Fort Parkway during opening hours and we will weigh, grade and pay on the spot.

What to have ready before you get in touch

A few details make the first response far more useful, and save a round of back and forth. What type of cable you have, household, armoured, high grade, or a mix, using our cable identification guide if you are not certain. A rough estimate of weight or volume, even a description like a car boot full or a builder’s bag is genuinely useful. Your location, particularly if you are asking about collection rather than a drop off. And a photo if at all possible, sent through our quote form or attached to an email, since this alone often lets us give you an accurate estimate without any further questions.

For businesses needing documentation

If you need a waste transfer note or similar documentation alongside your collection or drop off, mention this when you first get in touch rather than after the fact, it is simpler for us to prepare correctly from the start. Our guide on duty of care and waste transfer notes explains what this paperwork covers if you are not familiar with the requirement.

What we can help with, and what we cannot

We recycle cable and wire only, so if your enquiry is about general scrap metal with no cable involved, we will tell you plainly that it falls outside what we do rather than stringing the conversation along. If your enquiry mixes cable with other materials from the same job, such as a rewire that has also produced offcuts of copper pipe, tell us both when you get in touch, we can advise honestly on the cable side and point you elsewhere for anything we do not handle ourselves.

Trade, business and partnership enquiries

If you are a business exploring a longer term arrangement, a regular collection schedule, a facilities management contract, or a partnership around a specific project such as a large demolition or fit out programme, the same contact details above apply, just mention the nature of the enquiry so it reaches the right person directly rather than being treated as a one off request.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What is the fastest way to reach you?

Phone is fastest during opening hours. For anything outside those hours, email or our online form will be answered as soon as we are back.

Q: Can I visit without booking?

For small drop offs during opening hours this is generally fine, but calling ahead for anything beyond a small quantity helps us make sure someone is available to weigh and grade it promptly.

Q: Do you respond to quote requests the same day?

We aim to respond to quote requests promptly during opening hours. For urgent same day collection needs, phone is the most reliable route.

Q: I am not sure what type of cable I have, can I still contact you?

Yes, this is one of the most common reasons people get in touch. Describe what you have as best you can, ideally with a photo, and we will identify it and advise you honestly, including if it turns out to be something we cannot take.

Q: Can I request a specific collection time slot?

We will do our best to work around a specific time if you let us know when you get in touch, particularly for site or business collections where access is time limited.

Q: Do you answer questions that are not about a specific piece of cable, such as general recycling advice?

Yes, if it relates to cable and wire recycling we are happy to answer general questions, even if you are not currently planning to sell anything to us.

Q: What should I do if I have an urgent same day collection need?

Phone us directly rather than using the online form or email, since phone gives us the fastest opportunity to check same day availability and confirm a slot.
